ADOPTED **Jax**

Jax has found his furever home!! Stay tuned for happily ever after picture!!

Jax was previously adopted, but, sometimes it just isn’t the perfect fit; Jax came back to SWB on 07/23/2021. The same day that Jax came back, we enrolled him in a 2 week confidence building training at Huffman K9. Jax has EXCELLED in this program and is a favorite among some of the trainers (who could blame them? He is handsome as all get out AND he is amazingly dog neutral!!) This boy does not react to cats, puppies, dogs or even, geese/chickens!!! This handsome hunk is full love to give, but don’t let his cute nubby tail wag fool you, he still needs a calm confident leader who sets boundaries and holds him to them (such a shepherd!). Jax’s DNA make-up

Jax has FINALLY ARRIVED!!! Jax is approximately 2 -years-old of shepherd blend pawesomeness – speaking of his paws, he has the CUTEST lil pencil-toes ever! Jax is crate-trained and housebroken, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative (on prevention), microchipped and neutered. He takes treats gently and loves to wiggle his micro-pop tail with HAPPINESS! Jax would prefer a family with a yard and fence to perform daily “Zoomies” in. Jax can be vocal when he gets nervous (a high-pitched bark), but settles down nicely. Previously, we think Jax’s world was localized to his house – it’s like he is seeing a WHOLE NEW WORLD – he gets a bit nervous sometimes, but is getting more brave every day! We do not know if Jax has ever met any small furry things, but he does love to play ball. We do not know if Jax was previously exposed to children. A super sweet handsome boy, Jax will need continued training to learn how to be the best version of his goofy self possible with his new family <3 Apply to adopt Jax here: Adoption Application

Jax is currently spending a few weeks in a board and train program to continue his basic obedience skills – THANK YOU to Pet Village Ltd for reserving a spot!!! <3

Unfortunately, Jax developed some temporary complications after his neuter procedure (prostatitis) and his transport was delayed until we were able to get Jax checked by a specialist. We want to thank Dr. Haas at Bowman Veterinary Hospital in Auburn, California and Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Bowers, at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in Sacramento, CA for helping Jax through this episode!! Jax has been thoroughly examined and given a clean bill of health through ultrasound, blood work and other tests!! YAHOO for Jax!!!

Jax is a GSDx who is approximately 2 years of handsome awesomeness <3. Jax has a shorter tail (no pesky table clearing abilities here) and is a micro-pop at just approximately 60 pounds. He is crate-trained and housebroken. He loves to be inside with his person and sticks like glue to his human friends. The concept of a leash seems new to him, but his paw-some foster family is helping him learn about it. Jax was confiscated from his previous home with other dogs (including Britta).

Jax is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. He can be vocal when he gets excited or nervous (not in an aggressive manner, just expressive!), but quiets down when he is told to. Jax will be coming to the PNW soon- Stay tuned as we learn more about this love bug <3
